Origin of Eternity
Against the regulations, he reveals himself to Alice Watson—after an attempted abduction by Force S—as a member of the organization Serendipity. Through him, Alice gains insight into the workings of the secret society, putting him in the crosshairs of his own organization and the splinter group Force S. He manages to recruit Max Bennett as another ally—his brother, with whom he has had no contact for years. Together, the three uncover a conspiracy involving not only his parents, Bill Albury and Helen Albury, but also a spy planted by John Adams, who soon orchestrates a devastating attack. In the end, Will is faced with the choice of honoring his oath or fleeing into uncertainty with Alice Watson. He chooses the latter.
Origin of Eternity II – Metamorphosis
Months after he and Alice Watson go on the run, Will decides that it is time to take action against Force S and the alleged abductions of star candidates. However, he needs Alice’s support, who has so far been reluctant to learn more about the past of the stars, including her longtime partner Stanley Houseman. In a later conversation with a former confidante of Houseman, Will learns that Houseman and the mentally troubled woman have a son together: Oliver Temple. While searching for this descendant, who is presumably Houseman’s heir as a star candidate, Will repeatedly finds himself in the conflict of staying by Alice’s side or attending to his own family, whose members have their own struggles: his mother is the boss of Force S, Max appears to have joined the splinter group, and his father Bill remains in a coma following the attack in Volume 1.
With the help of an old friend (Jim Donovan) of his father’s, he is appointed to lead the newly reorganized Serendipity organization, which exacerbates his conflict. Nevertheless, he remains loyal to Alice and eventually confesses his love for her. As their paths diverge due to two different missions, William realizes too late that he is at the center of the conflict when it turns out that he himself, as a star candidate, becomes a pawn of his mother, who seeks the immortality of these candidates. When her plan fails, he becomes her next victim. Shortly after learning that he is Stanley Houseman’s son, Helen shoots him in front of the arriving Bright Stars.
Origin of Eternity III – Stigma
Will awakens as the newly awakened 8th Bright Star in the sanatorium of Zephyr Addams, who soon reveals himself as Abel—John Adams’s brother. The separation from Alice weighs heavily on him, but he strives to fulfill the tasks set by his mentor, who is searching for the Guiding Star: the person who can activate the power that turns the dagger into the weapon capable of defeating Cain/John Adams. After an unfortunate situation with Addams’s ally Luise Cable, Will decides to leave the refuge of the Bright Stars and return to Seaport to search for Alice.
When they reunite, he is relieved to find that her feelings for him have not changed—despite the fact that he, as a Bright Star, could theoretically be her adversary and is also the son of Alice’s former great love. When his adoptive father, Bill Albury, awakens from his coma, they both learn that Stanley Houseman is still alive and staying in Zephyr Addams’s sanatorium. Together, they set out on a journey to the sanatorium to free Houseman from his supposed captivity. Alice and Will are separated again, and even though it is a voluntary agreement, Will begins to doubt the righteousness of his mission to help the Bright Stars in defeating John Adams, as this endeavor also puts Alice in danger. After an encounter with Stanley Houseman, who asks him to look after Alice following her breakdown, he realizes that she is not willing to accept his support. Disappointed, he decides to fully commit to the Bright Stars.
In the decisive confrontation, Will faces John Adams, who manages to overpower him. In this situation, he finds the strength that awakens the powers of the Guiding Star within him. However, weakened from the battle, catastrophe threatens to befall him and his allies. Only with Alice’s help are they able to defeat their common enemy and free themselves from his yoke.
Will and Alice travel together to New York after their ordeal, fulfilling a long-held wish of Alice.

Tabula Rasa I
Eight years after the victory over John Adams—Will and Alice having married shortly thereafter—Will passes away after a short, severe illness at his brother Max’s estate in the presence of his family.
Tabula Rasa II
Will appears during Alice’s final trial as the Ferryman. After she has worked all this time to return to him, he encourages her to return to the realm of the living to fulfill the dreams that only a mortal can achieve. It remains unclear whether the conversation actually took place or if it was a product of Alice’s wishful thinking. Regardless, she decides to return to the realm of the living and become the new Ferryman.
